Translated as “Samba from the Heart” in Portuguese -- I wrote this tune over 30 years ago, and have rearranged and updated here. I recorded the track with Lincoln Adler and Marc Van Wageningen (plays bass on this track 30 years later!) and some other Great musicians in 1983 at "Different Fur" recording studio in the Mission District of San Francisco.
This samba represents my life-long love affair with Brazilian music and rhythm. Will Kennedy SMOKES on this track. John Fluker ad-libs a very positive, happy message at the end.
